An important part of the ATC-55 project effort is to develop a base of example structural engineering applications of inelastic analysis procedures (nonlinear static procedures, time history analyses, or other procedures). The study of such examples will allow us to identify trends in the various methods and issues encountered in their application. The culmination of this effort will be a summary of the current state of the practice.
We suggest that you review the Project Profile and the Issue Summaries. This will give you some idea of the type of information that is pertinent.
We want good examples (!) of project applications of nonlinear static procedures (pushover analyses) or other inelastic procedures. You are invited to participate by contributing summary data from your examples of the application of inelastic procedures. Such data can describe new building designs, retrofits, or evaluation studies. In return for your contribution of data, your firm will, of course, be credited in the final ATC-55 publication. Also, we may contact you in the future regarding the possibility of further developing one of your examples for use on the project. In these cases, you may be offered some financial support. To participate in the easiest way possible, please follow the instructions in the following paragraph. Please contribute data for as many examples as possible!
Download the Microsoft Word document below, which contains a form for entering the basic information for your project. Use one form for each building, and enter the data requested. Copy the form (a Microsoft Word Table) as necessary. E-mail your completed forms to atc55@atcouncil.org. Please fill out the form as completely as possible, based on the knowledge you have of the particular project. Be sure to provide your contact information in the space provided. This will allow us to request further information or seek clarification on the project if necessary.
Thank you in advance for your participation!
